Kalimpong Govt. PTTI being one of the oldest teachers training Institute it’s infra-structure facilities are to be improved. Inspite of Govt’s endeavours for improvement of Infra-structure, planning and estimating agency (PWD) of the Govt, are not functioning properly.
Despite of limited Infra-structure and faculty members, we are trying our best in improving teachers training. In addition to face to face mode of D.El.Ed. trg, so far we have completed 5(Five) batches of 2 years D.El.Ed. (ODL Mode) and Two batches of six months PDPET (Professional Dev. Programme for Elementary Teachers, for the teachers having B.Ed. Degree. For better training programme all necessary components like infra-structure, appointment of teaching faculties, library, play grounds are to be improved.

Kalimpong Govt. PTTI being one of the oldest and only Nepali medium Teachers Training Institute its main mission and objectives is to produce quality teachers feeding for Nepali medium Schools for Darjeeling, Alipurduar and Jalpaiguri District, along with other Private and Central Schools.
